Hi all,

I have been suffering recently with anxiety that is causing me to feel extremely sick, wretch and have zero appetite.

I have been given Citalopram, I am on day 3 and experiencing the most awful nausea and heightened anxiety.

How long does this last

How are you getting on @A2010 I'm on day 3 too and feeling similar

Jifmicroliquid · 10/01/2024 06:50

I had to come off the drug. It made me collapse. It might not agree with you.
I went back to the GP and asked for something different.

@Housetreehouse I’ve been on them for nearly 2 weeks and I’m doing so well. Nausea has all gone and feeling happier

@A2010 that's so good to hear. May I ask what dose you're on?

I’m on 20 mg :) the difference between how I feel now and 2 weeks ago is just amazing.

Sorry for all the questions- did you go straight on to 20mg? I've started at 10 with a view to increasing to 20 in a week but I feel so rotten (even before starting them) and don't know whether to bite the bullet and go straight to the therapeutic dose.

A2010 · 10/01/2024 12:18

@Housetreehouse I started on the 20 mg.
After about a week I started to feel better and the dark cloud began to lift.
