Any teachers out there suffering with work related stress? I've just had a week off due to it and it's also led to me feeling very depressed. HR want to know what they can do to support but I can't see how they can . The workload, behaviour, new initiatives constantly introduced without time to understand them, the pressure and accountability seeing staff in tears on an almost daily basis, the gas lighting etc. HR can't possibly solve all of which is so endemic in the system.

You need to change school, they aren't all like that.

I'm probably going to look outside of teaching. I have a lot of Teacher friends in different schools and they all say the same! I'm starting to think the good ones are very rare

Yes, struggling more than I ever have before. I’ve raised the same concerns you’ve just detailed to SLT and they don’t act upon them, only happy when you come in and keep the school working. The stress is unbelievable and it’s making me feel very negative which I’m usually not!
I have no choice but to have sick leave right now as I’ve pushed in for weeks on end with crippling anxiety and now hit a wall. It’s not worth the stress.

Also a teacher and really struggling. Feel like the behaviour has plummeted in recent years. How long have you all been doing the job? I have been a teacher 10 years and used to love it. Since I’ve had children of my own I’ve realised how all consuming it is, now I don’t have extra spare hours to spend on it. I think my school is one of the good ones and still finding it tough. I’d really like to look elsewhere too but have no idea what to do, plus my confidence isn’t super high for applying for other jobs.

I've been teaching for 25 years. I don't think many people realise just how un-family-friendly teaching is and it is very hard to juggle the job with a family, particularly if you didn't teach pre children. But as I said above, not all schools are the same and the grass really is not significantly greener outside of teaching.
