Anyone else in this situation?

Name changed, and trying not to share anything identifiable.

Wondering if anyone else has a loved one who was sectioned yesterday, and not likely to be home for a while.

Not sure what I'm looking for, but thanks in advance.

I'm not in the same situation as you, but I didn't want to read and leave you with no reply.
It's going to be tough, especially over the festive period, if you celebrate.
I know it is not always the case, but I'd like to say they are in the best place, getting the help they need and deserve. Hopefully when it is time for them to come home, they will be in a much better, more stable place.
I know it is so hard when a loved one is struggling 🩷

@WhimsicalMoth thank you so much for replying!

I'm way past celebrating Christmas/New Year.

Feel very frustrated as what I've been told is that there were no beds available for a 4 day assessment re physical health, and then person was sectioned for (up to) 28 days at a time when NHS and voluntary sector (advocacy) services were in switch off mode until 27th at earliest.

They're not on obs on the ward, and from what I'm told their physical health issues aren't being assessed etc.
