Health anxiety and duloxetine

I'm 4 months on duloxetine and I'm having a rough time. My health anxiety has amped up. My gp wants me to give it 6 months but I'm miserable and don't want to wait that long. First appointment is 8th of January and only via phone. It feels never ending.

Has the doctor tried increasing your dose? Sometimes it takes a bit of time to find the right dose but if you don't want to stay on it then yanbu to tell them that

I have been on Duloxetine for HA since July. It has helped to reduce constant worrying thoughts hugely. Am on the minimum dose as it does make me feel slightly spaced out.
It is the sister drug of Venlafaxine. I swapped to Duloxetine after withdrawal issues from Venlafaxine. Definitely take it for a bit longer.

I was really ill on Duloxetine. I felt like had flu for the 5 weeks I took it. I also developed uncontrollable shaking which didn't go until two months after I stopped it. The flu symptoms stopped quite quickly though.

I know it's not the same, but I think it's an evil drug.

If you can hang on until 8 Jan I would be very clear on that date that you don't want to continue it and want an alternative.

It's hard when I know others who have had massive break thrus on fluoxitine and my Dr refuses to prescribe it, my only alternative is venlafaxine x

I hated fluoexetine. Why won't your Dr prescribe it?
