Stopping Sertraline

I have been on 25mg sertraline for three weeks and have decided I am going to stop. My GP and I have decided that due to the side effects it isn't the right fit for me. For those with experience, do you think I will suffer much withdrawal at such a small dose for such a short time? I have had terrible insomnia and been very stimulated a lot of the time so she has prescribed me agomelatine which she has said is much better for sleep and side effects. Just wondered what other's experiences are when taken for a short time.

I came off 200mg cold turkey (not recommended!!) but had very few physical side effects at all. A bit of dizziness for the first few days but that was it.

After being on it for 7 months (I think 50mcg?) I came off it by moving to every other day then every third day for a week at a time. No side-effects. But I'd go with the GP's advice.

A bit of dizziness for a few days. I was in same dose as you OP and stopped after a few months as wasn’t getting any benefit.
