This sounds crazy but it's been playing on my mind all day especially as I'm anxious in nature specifically around my health and dying. This morning while I was snoozing I had a very wired and vivid dream that I had something stuck in my mouth while I was driving and I was choking. It startled me awake and I was gasping for air and my heart was absolutely pounding out my chest. It scared the hell out of me. I was really confusing for a few seconds before I came round. Anyone else had vivid dreams like this? I've convinced myself my body was trying to tell me something and I hst I have sleep apnea or something and my brain woke me.uo because I was about to die. Am I being completely irrational and pathetic,? I've been having a meltdown all day, feeling edgy and sick to my stomach.

It happens to me. It’s fine.

If your body were trying to tell you something, what would that something be? And what would you do if you knew this for sure?

Yeah I have dreams like that all the time. Usually means I've choked on some spit in my sleep and I wake up gasping for breath.

I don't think it's a mental health thing.

Everyone has vivid dreams sometimes but they do not foretell the future or have any meaning. Please don't worry about it.

I'm not sure to be honest. I have bad health anxiety and OCD so now I'm obsessing that something is physically wrong with me

what is going on in your life in general? might reflect a day to day situation you're not feeling comfortable in or something. Usually dreams are our subconscious mind trying to reach us. Usually not something literal as you suggest, as our subconscious uses metaphor, but could be related to your work, your ability to speak or go places or something. Are you feeling "choked" in your ability to move freely in life / get where you want to go? Or maybe in your ability to speak up for yourself? Could be something like that.
