What therapies have worked for your depression?

My DD21 has depression for the past 5 years. She is on Sertraline 50mg and has had cbt all that time too. At one point she was on 150mg sertraline.

She doesn't seem to be getting better and gains weight when she is down which makes her feel worse and unmotivated to do anything and so it goes on.

I am sorry for her, ordinary things are such a struggle and she is so often disappointed in herself. The therapy does not seem to work and so I want to suggest or research something else for her to try.

I contacted someone about hypnotherapy but it was online only, I feel she needs inperson sessions.

Have you tried hypnotherapy or anything different that has helped??

You could have a look at the Flow Neuroscience headset, I have one and there are a few other users on mumsnet, there was a thread a couple of weeks ago. I also like Dr Tracey Marks a psychiatrist on youtube who has loads of videos looking both at meds and other things to help depression including supplements and non prescription things
