Health anxiety convinced I’m going to die

Hi all - I have severe health anxiety and I haven’t stopped crying since yesterday. I’m on blood thinners as I had a clot 4 years ago due to pregnancy (currently heavily pregnant) I’m only On a small preventative dose. Anyway, last night my 2yo hit me on the head with the tv remote. It didn’t really hurt just feels tender when I touch. I’m not dizzy or confused or sick etc but I’m panicking I’m going to have a brain bleed and die due to the thinners.

Ive spoken to my friend whose a nurse and she says it would only be a serious banh like a car crash, falling frown the stairs and cracking your head open etc but my health anxiety won’t let me rest.

just looking for some reassurance as I’m going mad 😭

OP don’t want to read and run, but a short note to say that I hope you’re ok. You’re highly unlikely to experience any serious affects from that, especially on a low dose. Your body is tougher than that. Try to find some comfort today and spend time in the moment with you DC or doing something you enjoy.

Your medically trained nurse friend has given you the reassurance that a bash with a remote won’t have done any serious harm. Try to keep yourself busy so your mind isn’t constantly focusing on this. Flowers

I can sympathise OP. I have severe health anxiety and I would be thinking the exact same. I’m sure you will be okay though. I know it’s not easy to let those thoughts go but if you’ve not got any symptoms you will be okay. X
