Trazodone + ???

Is anyone on trazodone plus another type of AD?

I've been on trazodone for a year or so, recently went up to 300mg to cope with worsening depressing and anxiety but I'm finding it hard to function the next day because of the sedative effect at that dose (to the extent that my boss noticed during a 9am meeting this week). I've tried a lot of ADs in the past so don't really want to try something new but I think I need to reduce the dose of trazodone and maybe supplement it with something else, which could be one that I've had before (other than vortioxetine which made me very sick). I have an appointment to discuss with my psychiatrist this week but just interested in options before that.

Probably a bit late now! Sorry you haven't had any replied I have recently joined. I had to increase in the past and it just takes a bit to get used to. The heavy sedation affect will cease, your mental health comes first. I had to take time off to feel better but then was able to work on the dose alongside amitriptiline.

I was on them once.
My psychiatrist took me off them.
He told me they don't recommend them these days.
There is better alternatives.
