2 months in and my apatite has gone through the roof. Never feel satiated ! I used to comfort eat but over last 2 years got that under control but since taking tablets I just want to stuffy face with crap all the time. I can see why they say you can put on weight with these tablets cause I just can't stop eating! And it's all fatty things, pasties, chocolate, pies, sausgaes, KFC!

Also gave lost any motivation for exercise. Haven't been for a run or gym since starting.

My psychiatrist swears blind that they don’t cause weight gain but I put on 10kg when I was on them.

I was the same - always used to exercise and run but on them was constantly eating - gorging really and had no motivation to exercise - they chilled me out too much - I no longer had anxiety or depression but just a sort of middle ground of emotions - never really happy or found things hilarious like I do usually but nor did I feel sad and teary or worried. Personally I did not get on with them and once off them lost the weight and restarted exercise - changed my life too so that I was happy with my new career and that such a big difference.

I put on three stone in three months. It was awful, I was a bottomless pit for biscuits and junk food.
I was slim beforehand, and have never managed to lose the weight again afterwards. If I could go back in time I would tell the doctor I didn’t want to take it.

Two months in it has really helped my mental health (in fact the meds brought me back to life after a complete breakdown) but I also have noticed an increased appetite!

I still exercise a lot though so weight gain so far.

I'm on Citalopram. Been about 2 months. Had previously lost 3 stone due to the reasons I went on the pills. I have put on half a stone so now look less skeletal. I haven't found it have a massive appetite, more that I just have some appetite. Over time I can see that I may continue to gain weight, but probably not as much as I'd lost before. These drugs affect people differently though so if you feel your need for the medication is borderline, might be worth weighing up the pros and cons. Or ask GP to try something different?
