Any psycologists/psychiatrists out there? - I need some advice on how to proceed.

I don't want to splash all the details here but I seem have become or am becoming the trusted person to someone with scitzoid.

I have been working on authenticity issues/trust issues myself and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to support but would like to if I can. Can a professional wave in my direction please so I can discuss further and shed some light on the reality of the situation? I have done some reading about this and it has thrown me into overwhelm. Thank you.

Good grief no op

you can’t possibly hope to support this person in any way other than a friend and that does not mean quasi-psychiatrist based on a bit of reading and a mums net thread (which no psychiatrist will respond to other than perhaps to say as above)

Yes paltry...as a friend. I do not see this person often only through a shared interest but they have indicated that I am one of the few people they are learning to trust. I guess I just carry on as usual. I seem to be easy to talk to - a lot of people divulge stuff to me, I am a good listener and through my own therapy and life experiences have learnt a fair bit and understand a fair bit but this is new to me.
