Thought I got away with it this year, but nope, back with full force, worse today due to the weather.

Have so many plans and all I want to do is close the curtains and stay in bed. Just took me 2 hours to get ready as just have no motivation.

Going to make myself go out to see if it helps.

Do have a lumie but it's in storage so I can't access it atm.

Any advice to get me out of the downward spiral??

I put a pair on here the other day but no one’s replied so I will join you on yours 😊.

I’m also feeling it in full force earlier than usual this year. I think it’s because we hardly had a summer!

I’m just soooo tired once I’ve finished work and it’s already getting dark.

The best thing I can do is drag myself to exercise in the evenings. I’ve also started taking my vitamin D and multivitamins again which I’ve been lax about doing over the summer (which was probably stupid as I’d have built up a store for winter).

My SAD lamp is coming out today while I WFH. I’m considering taking it into the office with me but people might think I’m odd, mind you we’re a bit of an odd bunch (in a good way!) so I don’t think anyone would actually care.

I think if you take it, more people would actually open up about theor own experiences of SAD.

That's a good point, I need to remember to take my vitamins.

I might take up swimming on an evening to see if it helps.

Have been using SAD lamp for couple of weeks now but decided it wasn't working enough alone and got repeatprescription of Flouxetine(anti-depressants)from doctors. I take for 3 months over the winter and its the only thing that basically gets rid of the symptoms. I still.use my light box in the morning briefly. Ive suffered with SAD for 30 years now and only took ad last few years. Honestly its the best thing.it is so worth trying.it has opened up winter for me and allows me to function pretty much normally. I've wasted so much of my life feeling crap, depressed, and wanting to sleep and hibernate in winter. If its affecting your life a lot I really suggest seeing GP

Yes maybe, we might end up all huddled around it!

Oh I forgot to add in also on antidepressants but all year round. I’m on sertraline as fluoxetine gave me terrible restless leg syndrome.
