Just keeping busy til 10.30 when I am actually going to go to the doctor and show them my note about how ive been feeling...I really must go cos I don't think DP and kids can stand me crying anymore. Don't think the ADs ive got are working. Maybe I need something else. Is anyone around?

SKipsmum - go. please.
it'll be worth it. i've been there. go. bring tissues.

Thanks X
Ive managed before - been on sertraline for ages, but it just doesnt seem to be helping. Spent last night in tears because DP is going out without me tonight. Was completely unreasonable, was still crying this morning. Have felt like this since he went back to work and I am left at home all alone with the kids.
Which shouldn't be so bad, got lots of support from family and friends, and its what I wanted, but I feel so flat. 40 mins to go.

Thanks again!
Doc has doubled my dose of ADs and I have to go back in two weeks when I hopefully will feel a bit better. Didn't think doc was that helpful really, but hopefully the tablets will be.
Thanks for your support this morning Purplemonkey, really appreciate it XXX

Oh Skipsmum, I'm sorry you've been feeling so bad.

No experience, just a message of support really. Well done for going to the doc, I understand that can be very hard.

Skipsmum, I can understand what you're going through. Hang in there. As a mum whos had PND (needed medicine for ages aswell) and as a pharmacist, one medicine will work differently for different people, in fact if you need help in the future the medicine which works now may not be the best then. I tried about 4 before I had the right one at the right dose. Only you know if it is working for you. NEVER let anyone (inc drs)tell you that something is working if you know it isn't.
Well done for doing something about it, it can be hard to work up the emotional energy just getting to the dr. I found it harder going back and telling my dr that I wasn't feeling better than going the first time.
