Hi all,

I’m on week 5 of 50mg Sertraline and my anxiety has sky rocketed today- it is absolutely horrendous. Has anyone else had this? I am on my period which I’m not sure is affecting it too? This is my second period since having a miscarriage in august so maybe my hormones are out of sync?

any advice would be much appreciated ❤️

Think it takes 2-3 months to kick in properly. 50 is a low dose, I'd speak to your GP to see if they will increase.
It's won't get rid of anxiety all together, you will still have bad days just get over them quicker!

I’m sorry you are struggling and for your loss, it must be a very difficult time for you. I’ve been there and can relate, whilst I have no experience in the medication side all I can suggest is talk to people you trust as much as you can. You’re not alone x

Sertraline alone won't completely control anxiety.
It usually works better in combination with Propanalol.
Sertraline should be taken regularly as prescribed by a GP
Propanalol is usually taken on days like you're having today. So when your anxiety peaks. Some GPS also prescribe it to be taken daily alongside Sertraline.
