I have been put on sertraline for bad health anxiety which in turn made me feel depressed. Been suffering on and off for over ten years. Im coming upto 9weeks on it, was on 50mg for first 4weeks then upped to 100mg after that. I still feel the same, i suppose i dont feel as depressed but the high anxiety is still there. I wanted it more to help me cope with the anxiety than anything because its draining and i cant live my life in fear anymore. I heard it takes 4-6weeks to notice it working but i dont feel any different really. I just wondered how long it took for you to see it working? Thanks in advance. X

I’ve been on 100mg for nearly 2 years now, I think it was a very gradual process of improvement. I noticed after 3-6 months that things were just easier, I worried less about my health and woke up feeling lighter. Maybe give it until Christmas and then speak to your GP as a different one may work better for you.

About 2 weeks for me. I began to feel much calmer.

I'm 7 weeks on duloxetine and feel the same.

6 weeks of high dose and a further medication has flat lined me to just being able to be the same and not so up and down.
