Hi all. I have no clue where to put this thread so put it here as i have anxiety which is linked.
I'm a single mum to a 3yr old and a 1yr old and Basically recently I have been for some reason forgetting little things. I'm guessing it's due to be busy busy busy. I was cooking dinner for them using an ninja dual air fryer. I put the fish in one and was meant to put the potato waffles in other but I obviously forgot. But the air fryer was on both so was cooking with nothing inside.
Now due to my anxiety I'm scared that because there was nothing in there the air fryer has let out bad fumes, gas, radiation or something damaging to my health in any shape or form. Can someone please let me know if I do have anything to worry about.

Please be kind and be mindful that I have anxiety. Would be much appreciated thank you.

Domestic air fryers, tested to ensure over heating and such don't release anything near a dangerous level of chemicals.

Don't worry OP. If anything it'd smell a bit but nothing more. Especially Ninja Brand, they're reputable so I'd imagine their tests are very stringent.

It would have been giving off whater you imagine it gave off whether there was anything in there or not. Forget it, it was an accident and nothing bad is going to happen. Air Fryers are safe and basically an oven which works on circulated heated air and nothing else.

That’s your anxiety talking to you. It isn’t real. You’re fine, they’ll be fine. From one anxious person to another, hugs!

It's no different to putting the oven (or the Ninja - there are recipes that specifically require you to do this) on to preheat. It's perfectly safe and normal to have them running empty for what - eight minutes?
