Struggling with going back to work and horrible manager

I haven't worked for a long time due to severe mental and physical health. I just recently got help and support with finding a really nice job with a really understanding and sympathetic manager. Even if I felt bad I would make the effort and try to go in and I've been really proud of myself. This all came crashing down when my manager went on sick leave to have an operation and will be absent for around 4 months. The temp manager is horrible and really lacks empathy. He said I must give my phone number to him as it wasn't on the file so I can be contacted to cover at short notice. He also said I have to join the watsapp group and teams and be available for them whenever I am contacted - even on my days off. I have explained that the job is through disability and the reasonable adjustments have been made that don't include what he is asking of me. He just went on a rant and said it's not like he's asking things which I really can't do - he said I'm obstinate and don't want to do it. He is just a horrible man, up his own arse, constantly checking on me and asking why i'm not doing certain things. I've been in touch with my disability support worker who said she would speak to him and make it clear that he has to accept how it is. He hasn't changed and i'm having time off again, i'm in pain from stress and my mental health and gone right down. Since then he has called me - 15 times yesterday and left awful messages like 'get your lazy arse out of bed and get to work' and 'you have to get over this mental health thing' and i'm a 'weak character and behave like a child. I loved that job but now feel like i'm back to square one.

Oh wow, report to HR as a formal grievance. You'll get lovely pay out xx

Definitely report him! That is so unprofessional acting like that and talking to you in that manner. You should definitely go over his head and complain about him

Christ!! Report him. Vile little man.
