So, having had a really awful few months with crippling anxiety, I took myself to the GP and accepted meds. Mirtazapine gave me horrific non stop diarrhoea, swapped to Citalapram, which left me suicidal after three weeks. Then, swapped to Sertraline. Started on 25mg, stayed there for two weeks, upped to 37.5mg, stayed there for a week. Then went to 50mg. Blimey! It was like back to square one. 50mg blew my head off, panic attacks, shakes, shivers, sweats, you name it, I had it. So, on Drs advice, back down to 25mg. After three days of hell and non stop crying, starting to calm down.
Will this dose be enough for me to get my life back?
Additionally, I’ve had my HRT increased also (just in case).
Im a mum of 3 and am desperately trying to get well!
Any words of wisdom gratefully received.
If you made it this far, thank you. 🙏

Hey there. I think it's unchartered territory. My gp and nurses really don't know a lot about peri and menopause and that coupled with me having anxiety basically all my life makes me feel like I'm looking up and researching myself.
I found sertraline after 3 weeks of absolute hell great but numbing. Came off it started hrt and was fine for maybe 4 months then woke up one morning to a panic attack and that's where I am. Juggling hubby, 5 Yr old and college.
My Dr has me on duloxetine I will he on it 6 weeks on Wed and its way gentler than anything else I've been on but it's a slow grower.
Don't feel alone there's lots of and pm me any time!! X
