I was so ov3r the moon to get married to the love of my life that I stopped taking citralopran for 2 weeks. When I came back from honeymoon I experienced a massive crash. I felt paranoid I'd get the sack and thought dh didn't love me...planned an annulment.
Obviously I adore dh and will do no such thing.
This is a warning to others I guess.

Congratulations on your wedding. I attempted to come off citalopram like that honestly, thought I was going to die, it was awful 😞. I went back on it in the end. What are your plans with it now? Withdrawal should be very slow and you need to consider how long you have been on it and if you have failed to wean off previously.

I will be on it forever. I can't cope without it. I only stopped as I was so happy and thought I didn't need it.

Been there. I was being weaned off Sertraline with a view to starting another AD. Started feeling very good, didn't start new meds then pretty much had a breakdown, lasted about 6 months and just starting to emerge from it. X

Sorry to read that OP. I tried to come off Citalopram, and I did it slowly, but still had a terrible reaction. I was angry with everyone around me and hated myself. I honestly thought about killing myself. Luckily I went back on it before I did any lasting damage to myself or others. I don't think I will ever come off it.
