Sertraline & alcohol/smoking

Has anyone found smoking cigarettes giving less affect of the sertraline or does it still work? Also if i had a few drinks, would i be ok or will i have a bad interaction?

Well everyone is different.. depends on our own chemical makeup.
I'm on Sertraline ( but l don't drink anyhow). I don't smoke.
You can drink alcohol while taking sertraline, but it may make you feel sleepy. It might be best to stop drinking alcohol until you see how the medicine makes you feel. Is there any food or drink I need to avoid? Do not drink grapefruit juice while you're taking this medicine.
