I was just wondering when did you see the best results from using sertraline. Like what dosage helped? How long was it before you noticed a difference?

25mg (half a 50mg tablet) once a day takes the edge of the annoying mental chatter, for me

I agree. I started on 12.5 moved to 25 then to 50. Stayed on that for a few months then went back to 25 which works well

I think for depression higher doses are needed from what I've read

I started off on 50mg for a few months. Went up to 100mg and that seems to help a lot. (Anxiety)

I've been on sertraline on and off for 17 years and been on my current dose of 150mg for 9 years. I had a really good day the first time I took it but I think that was psychological. It took about 3 weeks to fully take effect.

I’m on 200mg and it’s only just keeping me going.

but I’m autistic and we’re typically despised (especially on MN) so I’m asking a lot of it.

Forgot to add that I take it for post natal depression.

I’ve been on 100mg for years and just feel normal. Still have good days and bad days. It almost doesn’t feel like part of my life now, but if I stop I hit the wall pretty quickly.

I have taken Sertraline at different levels over the years depending on what’s going on.

Initially OCD was the biggest concern - I stated at 50mg and built up to 200mg a day at the highest. 8 months at 200mg gave me the space to complete the necessary therapies to get my OCD better under control.

Then I worked down to 100mg and stayed there for about 4 years, which saw me through a really tough time at work which was super high stress and then the pandemic which had the potential to cause a spiral due to the previous OCD issues.

When I had another round of therapy and felt even better about how I was controlling my anxiety, I worked down to 50mg and stayed there for about 18 months. Went up to 100mg at times to deal with short periods of intense pressure.

Last year in December I felt really good and tried to come off completely with a view to TTC. I got down to 25mg every other day but unfortunately had a horrible breakdown of sorts during a nasty bout of Covid. Went back up to 50mg a day and it’s helped me stabilise much quicker this time and don’t feel the need to go up.

I guess that’s a really long way of saying, different doses have worked for me at different times.

Edited - got my timeline wrong.
