2mg diazepam no effect?

Prescribed 2mg for diazepam to be taken as and when for anxiety. Took first one today and it’s had no effect! Can I double up and take two 2mg?

They come in 2mg and then 5mg. They say the more days you have the 2mg the more effective it can be as you will build it up into your system. The first couple I took did nothing for me, but after a day or two they seemed to work.

I was told (last week) to take up to three times a day until my severe anxiety wore off a bit. Couldn’t get out the house. I took it for about four or five days and definitely think it took the edge off, but the first time I took it, I felt nothing!

I used to take 10mg for anxiety during ct scans and it had absolutely no effect on me. Obviously varies from person to person

I’d say yeah you can if you want but 2mg can be effective in the right circumstances ie panic attack

Also dissolve it under your tongue for it to hit faster

2mg helped me relax my muscles after panic attack. Never stopped the anxiety. Just felt relief from the tension
