Where to get help for depression and ADHD for husband

Hi all, I'm new here, basically long story short my husband has recently been diagnosed ADHD and severe depression. Psychiatrist recommended looking after the depression first....grand. we are now on 3rd type of antidepressants in two months, I'm drained even looking at DH. Psychiatrist said if this tablet (antipsychotic) doesn't work DH will have to go to a day center then if that fails he will have to be an inpatient.
This is very difficult as I feel our life is on hold until DH is getting some sort of relief from some form of therapy, sounds selfish but I've but up with the most emotional, irrational husband the last 3 years and am struggling keeping everything going in house and with the kids.
Does anyone know what the day center is like what they do there? And how long is required to stay or is it dependant on person? He got a letter to say he is on wait-list, we have no health insurance so I'm wondering is there also a wait list for private day center or is it even a thing?
I personally feel he needs to get out of here and stay in hospital as he is paranoid about neighbors and people he meets on the road, none waving as he passes, he feels he done something wrong even though he hasn't been anywhere to upset these people....if he is sent to hospital to stay does anyone know how much this costs and how long the stay is?
Also we have teens and I don't know what to say to them about it if DH was in bed I jus say he is not feeling well, I don't know how honest I should be with them
Just to add we are in Ireland
Any advice welcome
