Auditory hallucinations

Just want some advice really. About 3-4 years ago, I experienced some weird hallucinations at night - I would wake about 3 am thinking I could hear voices whispering. They sounded just like children having a conversation, or a radio broadcast, very high and light, not at all hostile or scary. I used to check the kids' rooms but they were asleep! This was before I went on HRT and was perimenopausal, it happened maybe 10 times but never before or since.

I have to speak to a psychiatrist at some point in the next few weeks about my depression. They will probably take a general history. Do you think I ought to mention this, if it is no longer an issue? I don't want to open a can of worms. I am aware that it is considered a mild form of psychosis. I don't want to answer dishonestly either. I really do think it was hormone-related, but I think it's quite rare. I have never mentioned it to anyone, GP etc.

I had this for a year or two, on and off, during a very stressful period. I would sometimes hear a baby crying, or a child saying just one very clear sentence. Nothing spooky/scary, but it did concern me at the time as I thought I was losing my mind.

I'd be inclined to mention it as it's part of a fuller picture, and maybe a tendency in you.
