So I'm about to have an ADHD assesment, which both myself, partner and parents will come back saying it is an issue. I've put off doing anything for years as to be honest I didn't see much point as I ideally didn't want to take medication and I just can't manage the alternative (CBT/talking therapies - unsure they actually work for me and given the ADHD the stress of managing the appointments will probably outweigh any benefits.)
Reason I didn't want to take the medication is side effects I am often scared as from my experience mental health medication often comes with side effects that I'm not sure the benefits are always (in my case) outweighed by, however I really need to return to work now so need to try but want some real world experiences.
