If you are ASD what dose sertraline do you find effective?

Dd has done well on sertraline 50mgs but still has some struggles. I know she always will
But wondered if a higher dose may help her.

Any experience would be greatly appreciated. ?

Like everyone else, it's a case of suck it and see, with a caveat that autistic people seem anecdotally to be more likely to experience weird side effects.

Are the residual "struggles" really things that are amenable to antidepressant medication, though? If they're more autism-related, therapy to help manage them might be a better shout.

Zero.

The side effects were horrendous. I am autistic and experience adverse effects from so many drugs.

Struggles with what? Autism related struggles? If so, they cannot be eradicated with medication.

Perhaps your DD would benefit from seeing a medical professional to talk about the problems she is having and finding a potential way forward.

50mg is a starting dose so wouldn't be a surprise if she needed higher.

I'm autistic and have liked every SSRI I've ever tried so everyone is different. However there will always be struggles that medication doesn't help.
