Has anyone any experience of this?

I was on sertraline for 11 months but had to contact my GP when it became apparent that I can't orgasm like I used to. I have been off sertraline for around two weeks. I know I should give it more time as there's still a chance it could return to normal. I just can't help wondering how common this is?

Two weeks is no time at all. I would imagine that there is still some residual presence of the drug in your system, so I would give it several more weeks before you worry about the post-SSRI syndrome.

Thanks for responding @Random789 . It's been really worrying whilst on the drug that things were not as they should be. I really hope you are right 🤞

This was my experience of sertraline too! Hideous drug and the withdrawal effects were even worse for several months. Speak to your GP, you don’t need to be off medication if you need it just need a different kind. Fluoxetine was better but I’m now on duloxetine which for me has no negative effects.

@Larabelle6 I am sorry that you suffered on it too but glad you have found a drug that works.

It's like the orgasm is dulled down. Not as satisfying as it used to be.

I don't need any other medication to replace it, have updated the GP and we will see how I go by getting back to walking regularly and cycling.

I'm now on mitrazapine. I'm a new woman!

I know this thread is old but is this something you still suffer from?
