Looking for reassurance

Had a terrible strange bleed back in March and saw a private gynaecologist who said I had a bulky uterus. He sent a referral to the GP to see me in his clinic. Said I didn’t need to go private and the referral was sent as non urgent. The appointment is next week.

However, thinking back to covid times I had a transvaginal scan on the first (light) day of my period. The sonography said there was some thickening and possibly a fibroid.

A referral was sent to gynaecology. However, I was also seen in colposcopy where they cauterised where I had some cin cells removed.

I thought that was it, and that I didn’t need to be seen again and no more appointments came through.

However, I’m now struggling to function and can’t sleep thinking that something has been missed and I have uterine cancer.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Fibroids are incredibly common - I had a hysterectomy to remove mine - uterine cancer much less so. Are you able to distract yourself until next week's appointment?

Morning @Eyesopenwideawake thank you so much for responding. I’m working so hopefully that will help. A hysterectomy, I didn’t realise that they would do that for fibroids so thank you for the information.
