Struggling with life. In the past overcame problems albeit appeared a regular functioning person and have always held down a job.

Now things are worse. Everything I do is wrong. This is more being an inadequate person who continually messes up than mental health but I don't know what to do. Seriously how can I become a normal person who makes good decisions? I am desperate everything I do is wrong, so much so that I avoid life where possible.

How was your childhood? And when/why did you start feeling this way?

If you never have a lovely time or day then I suggest you speak with your G.P. However, if you are down and a bit up then I'd recommend you journal. I think we are all down at times and judge ourselves on what we envisage is other people's good days.

Childhood was good. Adult life has got worse with each decade to the point where I don't feel I belong in the world and avoid living except for essential things e.g. Work
