Help please!!

I have took sertaline 100mg yesterday.. one dose only one dose and I feel absolutely wired.. I am spaced out .. dry mouth… dizzyness …. And have bad nausea.. haven’t ate anything at all… is this normal??? I haven’t slept either … :( I hope soemone can advise me their experience….

I felt like that when I started taking sertraline. Awful side effects.

have you been started on 100mg or has the dose been increased?

@flossymuldoon it was Increased from 50mg back in feb but because I was moving houses and l was over wheelmen’s with the death of my daughter I used to forget a lot and then I completely stopped.l until yesterday I called the docs receptionist and asked for a repeat prescription and I took the 100mg one.. Omg I still feel awful Iv woke up dizzy .. my mouth is still dry and I’m spaced out … :(

Dry mouth, jittery, dizzy and spaced and feeling sick.

Just want to mention that taking them
inconsistently appears to increase sensitivity to them. If I were in your shoes I’d take 50mg and stay on that for a while until the symptoms subside.

My symptoms lasted for 10 days until
it settled. Same when I’ve had either increases or decreases. Your body needs time to adjust.

This sounds like typical side effects for commencing Sertraline. When I started I had similar symptoms. But they passed after a few days. They returned when my dose was increased, but again, only lasted a few days.

Thanks ladies.. I don’t think I can feel like this again I will speak to my GP.. I’m absolutely knackered and I failed my visual field test today!

Also I have got headaches is that normal? Iv only had one dose? :(

Headache was one of my symptoms, but left after a few days. Hang in there.
