Stopping Fluoxetine

Has anyone decided to stop taking Fluoxetine? How did it go?

I did, I had no adverse symptoms at all. It’s different for each person but I went every other day for a week or so then every two days then stopped. But talk to your doc obvs.

Thank you I will seek advice. I took one last week and it burnt my throat and it hurt for days after. This made me think do I need to take these anymore.

These might help. They talk about reducing dose for 2-4 weeks and reducing again etc until off. Depends how long you have been on it and what dose.
