Raised prolactin

I have loads of antipsychotics and got bad side effects. I can't take the older ones because they raise my prolactin as do olanzapine and amisulpride. I can't take quetapine, aripiprazole and haloperidol because of akathesia and effects on my heart. I started lurasidone and it has been perfect but now my prolactin has raised and if I press my boobs milk and colostrum come out.

I don't think there is much left for me to try.

I have a pituitary tumour that has caused me high prolactin for many years - 4000 plus at its worst, as opposed to being around 80-250 which it should be. I’ve taken cabergoline to bring it down - is this an option for you alongside the other medication you take? I think you need a second opinion from an endocrinologist, high prolactin in itself isn’t necessarily a terrible thing - it depends whether it means you have a growing (harmless) pituitary tumour, not all those with high prolactin levels do, you’d need an MRI, sometimes the pituitary gland just stimulates a lot of prolactin. In which case you may be able to just continue with the medication anyway as the benefit to you would outweigh the issues caused / related to prolactin.
