Feeling so useless

What is the point?

Feeling so useless and like I can't do anything. I've got long covid and it's affecting my physical health in many ways.

I just feel so sad and so useless. And so tired, so so tired. I just can't be bothered with anything, everything is so much effort.

Kids deserve so much better than this so does DH.

Not sure what is the point of the post other than how do you get support when the real problem is you are just a bit useless?

I'm so sorry you are feeling this way OP. You are not useless and your children and DH are lucky to have you! You are dealing with difficult circumstances. I do understand those feelings because since my second daughter was born last Feb I've been dealing with chronic pain and sheer exhaustion. It has greatly affected my mental health.

Have you been to your GP? Could be a deficiency contributing to tiredness?

Hi OP, please believe me (and @Allthatjazz234 ) when we say you're not useless.

You're exhausted, and you're ill. Long Covid is incredibly debilitating and takes time to recover from.

Try to treat yourself kindly, you wouldn't think badly of a friend who was in the same situation, you would try to support her.

Are you able to get some time to yourself each day? Even a cup of tea or coffee in the garden in peace? Take tiny steps to look after yourself, rest up if you're able to, try to eat something you enjoy each day.

If you're feeling well enough get yourself a Drs appointment booked, if you don't feel well enough then ask DH to book one for you. Just have a check up and see what your GP thinks.

Sending you 💐and support. Keep posting if it helps you x

Thank you both.

I'm a SAHM both kids are at school so I do get time for myself. I have a volunteer role that can be quite full on and am definitely not performing well at the moment.

Doing housework yesterday and I can't even do that very well due to the exhaustion and back pain.

I've seen the GP although it was a while ago so maybe worth going back for another set of bloods. I've also been seen by the long covid clinic but there isn't much to do for exhaustion and brain fog except resting.

Hardest thing is I look well, therefore people expect my to carry on as normal.

Anyway rant over as you were mn
