Bad side effects of Citalopram increase

I was recently advised to go from 20mg to 30mg and I feel absolutely awful and I'm wondering if this is normal/related. I am really restless and tossing and turning all night, waking up exhausted but can't get to sleep again, I feel like I've lost my sense of taste, my whole body feels numb and restless. I feel like a drunk zombie even though I am sober. Any advice? Should I reduce the dose or battle through? I honestly don't feel like it is helping my anxiety, just making everything so much worse

Seek advice of a medical professional first before changing doses of Citalopram.

I understand the side effects are very challenging for you right now so if a GP is not available, I strongly advise you to seek the advice of a pharmacist, who are the experts on medications.

Personally I would seek the advice of a pharmacist first before a GP.
