Single & struggling with depression

I was prev in a 14 year relationship- we lived together and owned our own house. Now living with my mum after my Dad passed away and really struggling with depression - feel it is fuelled by loneliness and a sense of no purpose. Have lost all motivation and zest for life. My friends are all in relationships either planning their weddings, buying houses or having babies.

anyone else here single and struggling?! I feel this is a very overlooked factor for poor mental health and I wish there was more recognition and support available :-(

You need to see your GP about your depression. Have you had any treatment?

yes, I have - they just prescribed anti-depressants and that was it. In the process of starting private therapy.

I used medication and did CBT. I found both really helpful.
