Olanzapine withdrawal and anxiety

Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone else has experience withdrawing from olanzapine. I have a 9 month old and was on 5mg following an episode of psychosis after she was born. I've since also had pretty bad post natal depression and ocd about not loving my baby enough. I felt the olanzapine was making my symptoms worse as it was making me really socially withdrawn and empty inside. Since stopping I've had some of my emotions and spark back but also the most crushing anxiety. I feel overwhelmed with fear and self loathing and totally paralysed.

Looking for anyone who has had similar withdrawal symptoms from anti psychotics but also people who have come out of post natal mental health problems the other side. I'm starting to worry this is forever.

I take olanzapine for OCD and if I don't take it for even a day I get the most crippling anxiety- 2 or more days and it's unbearable. So I think it keeps it at bay for me? I came off it once last year and I was besides myself with anxiety so I don't ever want to come off it again.

Could you drop down to 2.5?

Hi, know this is a few months back but wondering how you both got on? I too am on 5mg and trying to reduce but getting anxiety, and nightmares :-(

It's making me gain too much weight and they want to try taking me off it.
