Coming off Citalopram - advice with tiredness

I've been on 20mg citalopram for 3 years, and now I'm feeling like life is in a good place and I'm ready to slowly come off.

I've dropped down to 10mg a day, but I'm struggling with exhaustion - by 2pm each day I need a nap.

Other than that I've had restless legs.

Does anyone know how long I should be on 10mg for before stopping altogether, and also does the tiredness go away eventually?

TIA x

Hello, I am trying to start a thread as I'm 2 weeks into Citalopram and feel like I need a hand-hold (no idea how to start a thread).
If you are feeling exhausted & restless legs, unless there's any real urgency to come off Citalopram hang around on the 10mgs a little while longer....is there any other complimentary activities you can do to revitalize yourself

Here is a hand hold, welcome.

It worked wonders for me and enabled me to sort out loads of areas of my life, but now the side effects are very apparent so I'm feeling like it's done its job and time to get off.

I'm going to hang out on 10mg for a month and see how that goes then taper it off hopefully.

Im just absolutely shattered each afternoon! Hopefully it wears off soon.

@oddwellingtonboots
Hi there, Im in the same sort of situation and feel ready to stop / reduce citalopram after 3 ish years... already weaned down to 10mgs from 20mgs .
I just wondered how you were doing 6 months on? I suppose I have a bit of anxiety after being on it so long now.
Hopefully everything good for you and if you were able to update that would be really kind . BW x
