Anxiety - citalopram

Hi,

I've been taking Citalopram for approx 4 years, my dose as increased over that time to where I'm currently taking 40mg. I had CBT in 2019 as well and this helped at the time too. I have been anxiety/panic attack free until around a month ago when I started having waves of anxiety and panic attacks again, now at a point it's almost everytime I go out.

I don't think I can increase my dose anymore and not sure if CBT will help again after going through it initially.

Anyone been in a similar place and found a way forward?

40mg citralopam is the max dose. My gp suggested a beta blocker alongside mine.

I also have a beta blocker for those palpitations/panicky times - good luck and I hope you find a way through

You should ask your GP about pregabalin - it is indicated for generalized anxiety disorder. I found it to be a miracle drug for me after struggling with crippling anxiety for years.
