I can’t get out of bed

Anyone else feeling low today - I’ve never felt like not getting up at all all day before but I just feel so tired and overwhelmed. Life is shit. I have a huge outstanding utility bill plus HMRC have now decided I owe them £500😱from 2021 - I don’t understand it - everything was done via PAYE. I can’t afford to go anywhere even if I wanted to, I have no nice clothes and can’t afford to buy anything except basic food. Beginning to realise quite a few of my “ friends” are not real/ don’t call or reply to messages. I feel like it’s taken me ages to realise this maybe that’s why I’m feeling overwhelmed

Are you home alone?

Is the sun shining? It is here

or at least not raining?

get yourself up, brush teeth, wash face, make a cup of tea, grab a biscuit, open back door… walk out. You will feel better

Sometimes it's OK to unadult. You can't do anything about the utility bill or HMRC today. Stay in bed, get a good book or watch something light and undemanding, eat comfort food and write today off.

Thanks Cleo forever sun not shining here - I have eaten today I had breakfast and lunch and had a coffee outside this morning but taken everything back to bed - just can’t be bothered to do anything and I’m crying. Going to have a glass of wine I just can’t cope with these feelings x

I’d avoid wine myself but… 🤷‍♀️

I’m going to try to read a book but I can’t seem to concentrate on one thing for long -I know I use my phone way too much but I live on my own so it’s my comfort

Thanks I will try - the thought of actually “ doing” anything makes me cry

I'm sorry you are feeling so down FlowersCakeBrew

Try and do one small positive thing if you can, even if just getting up in you pjs and making a cup of tea (with sugar or honey in it, even if you don't take sugar - low blood sugar never helps).

Then beans on toast or similar, once you've had your tea.

Then sit in the sun if you can.

On the HMRC issue - it's worth talking to your local office direct on this if you can - they may be able to look into it and see why. It may be a mistake. I had that once and ended up not needing to pay it.

Small steps. Take care xx

I'm still in my PJs and feeling overwhelmed too. It's OK to have a stay in bed day every now and again. It sounds like you need a rest and I hope you feel refreshed tomorrow 🌷

Sorry you're feeling down but wine won't help. My DH and dd not well today so I got back in my pjs and 3.30
