I knew because I hit my breaking point and just left. Threw my keys at my boss, stormed out and got signed off for 3 months. I'd known for a while that my snapping point was approaching and should have got signed off sooner, I was just determined to try and muscle through it.

If I'd gotten signed off at the first little warning sign instead of when I finally snapped it probably only would have been a week.

You speak to the GP and they help you decide what's best

Thanks spoke to the GP a couple of weeks ago and they felt things were possibly physical so booked me in for bloods. However, they couldnt get blood so trying again this week. In meantime not sure how to cope with lack of sleep life, kids and work on verry little sleep.

For me it was when my concentration just got too poor to do my job - I couldn’t focus at all, couldn’t read, couldn’t have a normal conversation with people and my colleagues were starting to notice.

hope you feel better soon

I had no focus whatsoever and felt a bit shaky inside.

Definitely speak with your GP. Mine was lovely and I was pleased I’d made an appointment.

Does your GP have online consultations? I find this the best way to get things done, they use the info to triage then contact you. Much easier than phoning.
