Is anybody taking veneflaxine and really struggling with energy and just feeling flat ? been reading through some older threads regarding this anti depressant today but can't find the one I was talking on.
I don't know why but I am
Instantly feeling like I'm drained , no get up and go , can't seem to motivate and I've just seen a thread listing some side effects that I hadn't even realised came with it tbh.
I get leg pains and presumed that was peri as I'm 48 , aching gums sometimes , insomnia , really awful dreams when I do sleep but the biggest issue for me is the no will for anything.
I walk my dogs 3/4 times a day so do get out and exercise but I'm
Finding I'm failing in all other roles in my life , tasks are taking so long to complete etc , I've never had a ecg since taking it and been a few years now.
Is it a common side effect ?
Thank you

I take Venlafaxine although it was prescribed to try and help me cope with daily migraine. I was already exhausted but dont think its made it worse.

I take Venlafaxine, I find that I've no energy either (and also can have some awful nightmares!) Not a big fan of it to be honest, but it's a nightmare to come off it (the withdrawal symptoms are awful), so I've stayed on it.

I was the exact opposite. I had far more energy and enthusiasm when I was on Venlafaxine than I normally do, so no, I didn't experience those side effects at all. I was on it for a few years and stopped taking it about 15 or 16 years ago now.

However, I definitely experienced what you describe when I was perimenopausal (and I was not taking any medication then.)
