ADs (Sertraline) - just jitters or hypomania?

Would really appreciate advice... just started sertraline (only day 5). The first few days I was tense and jittery, today I'm wired and my thoughts are racing. I've slept 3-4 hours and cant concentrate. How do I tell if this is a passing side effect or hypomania?

I've been diagnosed bipolar 2 in the past and not done well on ADs hence being worried. My current doc isn't convinced I'm bipolar and she's away this week so I can't discuss with her. Aaargh.

Unfortunately these are common side effects for many people.
I've no medical background, but experienced similar myself as have friends and family on sertraline.
Can you speak to snother GP for some reassurance while yours is away?
Hang in there.

Thanks @Morewineplease10 yes I'm going to have to see if there's another doc. It's going to be eye opening at work going from tearful and quiet last week to 100 miles an hour this week :-O
