I’ve just started on Escitaprolam. Think it’s working. Made me quite nauseous at first though , even on low dose.

Whatshouldido99 · 20/03/2023 22:53

Thanks I’ve tried that before but didn’t help much.

Sertraline worked like a dream for me. I wouldn’t think twice about going back on it if I needed to.

Whatshouldido99 · 20/03/2023 22:58

@waterlego thanks. Did you take it for the sane reason as me or depression? I’m worried about the side effects and I do like my weekend wine! Was ok drinking Witt citalopram in the past but not sure about sertraline..

I'm on sertraline and don't have any problem drinking on it. Only a 50mg dose though, not sure if that makes a difference. The side effects have been pretty minimal for me - a dry mouth is the most noticeable one. Best of luck x

Citalopram works well for me.

@Whatshouldido99, anxiety yes, but not OCD (that is to say, I’ve never been diagnosed with OCD but my thoughts and behaviours have born a resemblance to OCD at times).

I have general anxiety but sometimes it has a focus- health anxiety in particular. Sertraline helped massively and side effects were minimal (compared to Citalopram which I didn’t get on with). I started on a low dose and went up to 200mg eventually which I think is at the upper of the range of what you can take. It really made a huge difference to my life at several points. I needed to taper off veeeeeery slowly when I was ready to come off it.

Hope you find something that works for you.

Escitaprolam , not citaprolam? They are different.

Whatshouldido99 · 21/03/2023 14:27

@Sushilushi yes tried both.!

I’ve got GAD and ocd traits and have generally lost the plot.

I am about to start Duloxetine.

Worried about it .
