Hi everyone.

I've been on 10mg of this for 2 weeks. About an hour before my pill is due my heart starts to race and I shake. Like my anxiety is 10x worse than ever.

Is this the pill wearing off? Do I just wait out that awful hour or so, or take the pill early?

I have a 4 week check up in a fortnight, but don't want to wait if this is something I can just fix by taking the pill earlier when this happens?

Any advice is appreciated..

Watching your thread with interest. I've just started taking it so too early to comment. I also have the racing heart and shaking.

I hope someone will come along and advise soon.

I am going through the perimenopause and I think this is making everything a lot worse. Hope things get better for you soon op.

I had very similar when I started taking Citalopram. The first 4 weeks were hard, I noticed every change in my body/physical symptoms.
As the medication has now settled (I'm around 5 months in), the shaking and palpitations have disappeared and I do not notice any side effects anymore.
I would guess that your body is still working to build up the correct levels in your body. I nearly gave up many times but I'm so glad I stuck it out! Good luck.
