Sertraline and ADHD meds

Due to start sert today but a little nervous. Doc assures me I have have it with my ADHD meds. Anyone else on both? Does it impact you much?
Like I say, I'm nervous but I have to do something about how I feel right now, wheels have totally come off my wagon recently.

I'm on Venlafaxine (SNRI antidepressant) and Concerta. I was on the Venlafaxine before the ADHD meds.

I told the psychiatrist I was hoping to reduce and stop the Venlafaxine. I was advised to keep taking it. So that's what I'm going to do.

I feel great, and have so much less anxiety and low mood. I feel so much better in myself, and my relationships with family ate much better.

I've also been a mental health nurse, and know many patients on antidepressants or antipsychotic meds with ADHD meds.

The doctor will have checked the BNF, which has lists of meds and their interactions with other meds.

My daughter is on sertraline and methylphenidate together, prescribed by a psychiatrist. All is well.

Good luck! I should say she did Sertraline first and then we added the other, but that was just down to diagnosis timings really.

I was already on sertraline when I started Elvanse. No issues. Good luck. I found both meds life changing and I hope you do too!
