Feel flat as a pancake

Can't even be bothered to work out why. Is it just winter maybe?

I'm moving, leaving London which I've wanted to do for ages. I'm surprised I don't have stronger feelings. I dunno. Just everything seems like a chore. I do have a strong sense of waiting for winter to be finished, also feel in limbo as I'm not moving till March.

I could go for a nap now, it's that kind of feeling. Anyone else get this? Sunny today, making no difference though!

As you mentioned, it seems that you're just in limbo. You know you have a big change coming up, but can't actually act on it right now. Plus it's that time of year when New Year has passed, yet spring seems a long way off. I think many people feel in a rut of some sort around now and that understandably affects your energy and motivation levels.
Good luck with your move! I'm hoping to move this year but am nowhere near actually doing so.

OP, I feel it. Almost had a nap but then got a phone call that kept me awake. Knocked off wfh at 4pm and am scrolling through daytime TV because I'm so knackered.

It's seasonal and for some reason really noticeable this year. You have my sympathy.

Why not give in to it with a bit of self-compassion. Just say to yourself: it's mid winter, my life is in limbo right now so I don't have to feel really bouncy. I can just mooch along until the big change happens.

Or if that doesnl;t work for you, make tiny to-do lists of three things a day - at least one productive thing towards your move - packing a box or notifying a utility etc, one thing that is fun and one thing that is beneficial to you financially or healthwise and just do them.

You'll get through it.

Trees yes, I think that's partly it. It doesn't seem real as it's so far away. I wish you luck with moving. It should be exciting but feels blah.

Winter I'm barely keeping up with work. I haven't felt this flat for years, can't even settle down to TV. I tried making a start on packing but realised it's actually not wise, I'd be living surrounded by boxes for two months and that's if there's no delays (new build).

I agree with being kind to myself, last night I couldn't even find any TV because my brain is like a sieve. I might go to the cinema one night next week, it kind of forces me to concentrate it's £6 on Monday and Tuesday I think.

thank you both for replying, much appreciated.

And of course, now, at 1.30 am, I feel very energetic and need to wind down to get sleep!
