I am currently awaiting a diagnosis for BPD. In the depressive episodes of the illness I really struggle to go on. Im a single mum with very little support so everything in is on my shoulders.

Does anyone have any tips for managing your mental health while raising your babies. Whether that be depression or any other variation of mental Illness that causes such symptoms. The worst part is the lack of motivation. My kids are 1 and 5 so I'm constantly needed, but I feel like there's a load of bricks on my back with every task and all I want to do is sleep!

Thanks,

Kelly :)

Sounds like burn out. Mindfulness is quite good, I use the Calm app.

I think routine can be really helpful. Maybe plan out a daily and weekly routine? I think going to the park often is helpful. The kids usually like it, fresh air and exercise helps everyone sleep better. In the routine I’d include tickle time (maybe after bath time?) Hope these thoughts are helpful.
