Vivid dreams on sertraline

On antidepressants for anxiety & depression, dr put me on sertraline, original does 50mg, now 100, having very vivid dreams every night about people I know, very detailed & real unlike "normal " dreams where you'd only remember bits & not necessarily about anyone specific- anyone else?

Also feel breathing a bit wheezy as exhale & no cold etc - the pills too??

Yes the first night I took sertraline I had the most awful night, multiple nightmares. Continued to have very vivid sinister dreams every night I took it. Since I've come off nearly a year ago I still have vivid dreams every night but not so bad

Yes, it's a few years ago that I was on it but I had vivid dreams very frequently. I sort of enjoyed them tbh!

Sulkyatforty · 05/02/2023 20:48

Has made sleep impossible and so I am weaning myself off them. GP advised against changing drug but apparently lack of sleeep is an impact of drug - which seems ridiculous

Sorry should have added GP advised against chafing as 39 wks pregnant - lack of sleep been correlated with meds tho

I'm not sure they're working, have drs again Thursday & she had suggested last appointment increasing, changing or coming off x

Yep I have absolutely insane dreams on sertraline, the highest dose I've been on is 100mg.

Thank you for sharing, you always feel it's just you. My daughter now asks every morning who was in last night's dream x
