I don't have any tips as such but I also have HA, I'm on my 6th day of fluxotine and doing private CBT. Never took a AD before so wasn't sure what to expect, first few days were difficult however starting to maybe...just maybe see light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

I sympathise OP, mine ramped up recently and I felt so ill. Meditation really helps. I started a class a few weeks ago and there are meditations specifically for health anxiety on you tube which have really helped when I've started to panic. Exercise also really helps, especially yoga (look up Adriene on you tube for free 30 day courses). I hope the citalopram works for you

Sorry OP my reply wasn't very helpful last night, I was half sleeping. I have recently read, a good book that I got from Amazon, 'the essential guide to health anxiety'. It was written by a man who also suffered from HA, he also had a YouTube channel and you can find him by typing, 'the anxiety guy' into YouTube.

Hope your doing ok today, this illness can be so debilitating. Take care ☺️

How are you getting on with the Citalopram OP?
Just revisiting to say a big thank you to @judesxmumx for mentioning the anxiety guy. I've worked through the book and have been watching him on youtube and it's been immensely helpful
