I have been upped from 100mg to 150mg - anyone found this was better ?

I'm on 150mg. Used to be on 200mg. Tried to come down to 100mg and really felt much more anxious so I'd definitely say that extra 50mg makes a difference.

Thank you @thaegumathteth !

Hopeful bump. . . I have been given separate 50mg and 100mg tablets. I have been upped to 150mg. Does anyone know if I can take these together?

Not sure I know what you mean? They're the same drug just different dosages so you can take eg 150mg

HunkieDorie · 19/01/2023 18:38

@thaegumathteth

Thank you, I have been given 50mg and 100mg in separate tablets but I should be on 150mg as one tablet. I suppose it's both the same?

They don't make 150mg tablets. They only come in 50mg and 100mg.

laurwalsh · 19/01/2023 18:42

I started on 50 and now on 100 and it's changed my life for the better. I'm sure I'll have to up to 150 at some stage. It's a game changer. I don't think I'll ever not be on SRIs and that's totally fine by me!

HunkieDorie · 19/01/2023 18:48

That I did not know!! Thank you I feel silly now 😆 @thaegumathteth

@laurwalsh it's changed my life massively, it's to a point you can't describe unless you're on them. My mind is 'quieter' now than it use to be

I stopped these for 6 months and am just starting again but only go up to 50 as I'm sensitive to drugs and only very tiny.

I agree with the quiet mind thing. Already noticed that when I wake in the middle of the night there are fewer thoughts. Weird to explain when you haven't been through it. They're still there but don't come as fast and feel more gentle. Thank god.

SameKeyThough · 19/01/2023 19:43

@thaegumathteth can I ask how long it took you to feel better on 150mg? I've been on 150mg for 3 weeks (and 50 then 100 for 6 weeks prior to that increase). Still very anxious and depressed with just some improvement in the evenings when I feel like my old self.

thaegumathteth · 19/01/2023 19:51

I'm not sure sorry, it's kind of hard to quantify as I had stuff going on too if that makes sense?

SameKeyThough · 19/01/2023 20:23

No problem, I understand. @HunkieDorie how long have you been on 100mg?

HunkieDorie · 20/01/2023 18:54

@SameKeyThough I've been on 100mg since start of November I think. I have gone up by another 50mg as still getting slight anxiety when out and about on my own but compared to what I was feeling it's gone about 80% I would say!

SameKeyThough · 21/01/2023 17:54

@HunkieDorie glad you are feeling a lot better. My dose was upped to 150mg 3 weeks ago and my anxiety is still pretty bad. I've been on sertraline for almost 10 weeks. Feeling like I'm never going to get better.

Starlight189 · 22/01/2023 18:57

I increased to 125mg from 100mg a few weeks ago. Once it settled, it did seem to help. I’ll go to 150mg if I need to, but 25mg made a difference for me.
